I spent a few years living in the US, driving to work during the week and taking longer trips on weekends. The car became more than transportation. It was the place where an ordinary day could change without warning.
The first moment was ordinary. I would leave in a rush, catch my face in the rearview mirror, and realize I had five minutes before walking into a meeting looking like I had a rough weekend. I owned plenty of razors. The problem was that none of them were where I needed one.
Then I noticed the same pattern elsewhere. A phone battery reaches one percent when you still need directions or need to make a call. A road emergency happens before anyone has time to open the trunk and search for a tool. Different problems, same uncomfortable feeling: something changed suddenly, and I was not prepared.
I tried keeping useful things in the center console, but it became a black hole of receipts, old cables, and gas station napkins. Anything loose eventually disappeared under something else.
The 12V socket was different. Whatever sat there had a fixed place. I could see it, reach it from the driver's seat, and keep it charged. That small realization became the starting point for Sunmon.
If one compact tool was going to live there every day, it should help with more than one kind of surprise: clean up before walking in, give a phone enough power to keep going, and provide a way through a tempered side window in a true emergency.

Sunmon is not meant to replace the shaver in your bathroom, the power bank in your bag, or a dedicated emergency hammer. Each of those tools has one job and does it well.
Sunmon has a different job: to be in the car, within reach and ready when the tool you would normally use is somewhere else. It shaves, charges a phone over USB-C, and has a hardened base designed to break tempered side glass.
